Yes my installer did separate ground from a nearest good ground point to this head unit bypassing car's harness. Gonna get it re-installed with a new Kenwood factory grown wires and ensure that any ground wire or wires touch the metal casing. If this the problems persists that i'm buying new radio.
I have the same problem with my kenwood ddx9702s. It may reboot 4 times in a row then it might not do it for 2 days. I was hoping to find a way to resolve it other than going to a Kenwood service center. I do not have one close by. I would like to do a factory reset but I cannot figure out how.
The Kenwood Excelon Reference DMX1057XR offers these features: built-in Bluetooth with LDAC for high-res wireless audio streaming with select Android phones. 3-way crossover mode (runs highs, mids, and lows) tuned audiophile-grade components. 13-band parametric equalizer with digital time alignment.
Your car radio may have damaged connectors that are not able to transmit power and information to the display LED, and it is not able to work. There can be several possible reasons that can cause the connectors of the LED to stop giving power. The main reason for the damaged connectors can be a loose connection of wires of the connectors.
Step 1: Remove The Car Stereo. The first step is to remove the car stereo from your car’s dashboard. Grab the panel remover and use it to separate the panel. Then unscrew the screws that are used to keep the stereo placed inside. Before pulling the device out, carefully separate the wires.
My audio installer did give me a 30 pin Apple link to a port on the back of the Kenwood head unit that does charge and give me an iPod/iPhone link to the head unit. Not sure why Leisure didn't give us that connector up front since it does exist on the head unit. Apparently you have to pull the Kenwood out to get access to where this link plugs in.
